The General Management Committee shall consist of (as stated in the Constitution):

No bank account has been opened for Cymdeithas Sylio. An account will be opened if it becomes necessary to have one.

The Community Council would pay the £200 hosting fee for the village website. Following this amendment, the minutes of the previous meeting were agreed as being correct.

Village Website – Huw Lloyd will be asked to attend the next Community Council meeting to explain the proposals for the new village website.

Action Point: Aled to draft letter from Cymdeithas Sylio to Llandysilio Community Council asking for support with the new village website.

Walking leaflet – a revised version of the text was distributed. Minor amendments were made. Philip Mahiques questioned if there was a preservation order on the Old Oak. It is probably around 500 years old. Cymdeithas Sylio would support to place a preservation order on the Oak.

Mansel Young attended a meeting at Eglwyswrw on behalf of Llandysilio Community Council recently where he raised the issue of the traffic problem with Islwyn Howells from PCC (Cabinet Member for Education). Mansel said that the main issue was the safety of the children. Mr Howells has agreed to make a site visit to Brynconin School when the children are being dropped off and collected from school.

The petition that Ruth Peterson has raised will be sent to Mr. Islwyn Howells. Ruth would also appreciate some help in calling round door to door in the village to gather further support.

St. Tysilio Church

Pisgah Chapel

Awaiting final payment from Keyfunds.

Blaenconin Chapel

The railings and the gate are yet to be completed.

Second History Book

The application has been submitted. Aled was thanked for his work in completing the application.

Action Point: Aled to contact Maragret Brooks to chase up the remaining funds that some projects are awaiting.

Only one person attended the youth disco on the 10th of December. Ruth Petersen said it would have been better to publicise the event as a meeting. The word disco would have put a lot of the youngsters off attending.

Aled highlighted the PAVS Outreach Week being held at various locations in county between 24th and 28th January 2005.

The next meeting will be held on 11th April 2005.
